Influencée par la jolie couleur framboise de ma dernière acquisition chez Rouge Petit Coeur, et après une semaine de chômage total côté point de croix, donc aiguillonnée par l'envie de me rattraper, j'ai brodé  entre samedi et dimanche  ce petit motif monochrome offert par The Primitive Hare. (en soie Gloriana "Bordeaux", sur toile rose très pâle). D'influence saint-valentinesque sans doute, et par conséquent hors saison me dira-ton, mais pour ma défense, j'ai un modèle printanier en mal de finition dans ma panière, et puis Pâques ne m'inspire guère cette année - avec tout le soleil qu'on vient d'avoir, je suis sûre qu'il va pleuvoir le jour J.

I had not stitched for the whole week, and I was looking for a small model to be stitched over the week end. The raspberry tone of my latest Rouge Petit Coeur purchase helped me pick the colour ("Bordeaux" silk, by Gloriana, on very pale pink linen) for this charming freebie offered by The Primitive Hare. A little bit on the Valentine side for sure, and slightly out-of-season, but I do have a spring finish in the offing , and Easter has little influence over me this year - we have had so much blissful sunshine lately, it is bound to rain on D Day.

J'ai tenté d'autres travaux manuels : une collection de décorations à suspendre en pâte à sel est en train de finir de sécher. Résultats plus ou moins heureux. Il reste du travail.  Le côté "bas-relief endommagé" de  la pièce ci-dessous est partiellement involontaire : la pièce est tombée par terre et les coins se sont ébréchés... 

I have been exploring other crafts too : a collection of salt dough hanging ornaments are still in the drying process. Uneven results. Plenty of room for improvement. The piece below could be mistaken for a broken fragment of a bas-relief - the piece actually fell on the ground giving it its vintage look !

 On s'amuse comme on peut.
