Pour la première fois, j'ai sacrifié à la tradition le 1er janvier (et si rester en pyjama toute la journée fait partie de la tradition, je l'ai fait aussi !), et j'ai brodé un petit ouvrage  monochrome, Lydia Broome Sampler de Pineberry Lane, avec de la soie 1003 du Ver à Soie. Il est entendu que je n'ai aucune idée de la destination de ce petit carré vite terminé : il serait du meilleur effet sur un couvercle de boîte, je pense, mais je n'ai pas la-dite boîte dans mes tiroirs... Allez, on commence par ranger l'objet du délit dans le carton à dessin avec ses congénères, et on avisera ensuite !

For the first time ever, I complied with tradition on January 1st (if lounging in pyjamas all day through is tradition, I did it too !) and I stitched a small monochromatic design, Lydia Broome Sampler by Pineberry Lane, with AVAS silk "1003". It is obvious that I don't have a single clue as what to do with this quick finish : it would look good on a box lid, don't you think, but I have no square box in my stash... The piece will first end up in the usual drawing portfolio, and then we'll see !
